Scytec Consulting Inc. (“Scytec”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Minitab, LLC (“Minitab”). Scytec is part of the Minitab corporate group, and together with Minitab and its affiliates, may be referred to as “Minitab,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this Privacy Notice, where appropriate.

This Privacy Notice describes how Scytec and, where applicable, Minitab, collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal data in connection with Scytec’s websites, products, and services (collectively, the “Services”).

Where Minitab processes personal data in connection with the Services, it does so in accordance with this Privacy Notice and the Minitab Privacy Notice.

Relationship With Minitab, LLC

Scytec is a wholly owned subsidiary of Minitab and operates as part of the Minitab corporate group.

As part of this relationship:

  • Personal data collected through the Services may be shared with Minitab and its affiliates for purposes consistent with this Privacy Notice, including providing, maintaining, improving, securing, and supporting the Services.
  • Minitab may act as a controller, joint controller, or processor/service provider depending on the context of the processing.
  • Scytec and Minitab operate under a common privacy and data protection framework aligned with Minitab’s global privacy program.
  • Minitab’s broader privacy practices are described in the Minitab Privacy Notice, which supplements this Privacy Notice where applicable.

Information Collection And Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve the Services to you.

Scytec uses the collected data for various purposes:

Personal Data collected by Scytec, as part of the Minitab corporate group, may be processed by Scytec, Minitab, and their respective affiliates and service providers in the United States and other jurisdictions where they operate.

Minitab and Scytec also engage trusted third-party service providers, such as cloud hosting providers and suppliers located globally, including in the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom, to support our business operations, workforce, and customers. As a result, your Personal Data may be accessed, processed, or transferred outside of your home jurisdiction.

Where such transfers occur, we take appropriate safeguards to ensure that your Personal Data remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable data protection laws.

By using the Services or providing your information, you acknowledge that your Personal Data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your jurisdiction, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ.

Disclosure of Data

Business Transaction

If Scytec is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Notice.

Disclosure for Law Enforcement

Under certain circumstances, Scytec may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

Do-Not-Track Disclosures

We do not support “Do Not Track” browser settings and do not currently participate in any Do Not Track frameworks that would allow us to respond to signals or other mechanisms from you regarding the collection of your personal information.

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services or assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

OUR SITES ARE NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN

The Services are not directed to or intended for use by children under the age of 16. If we learn that we received any information directly from a child under age 16 without his or her parent’s or legal guardian’s verified consent, we will use that information only to inform the child (or his or her parent or legal guardian) that he or she cannot use the Sites or Services.

We may update this Privacy Notice based upon evolving laws, regulations and industry standards, or as we may make changes to our business including the Services.
