Scytec DataXchange contains multiple methods to integrate with external systems. The Scytec DataXchange API can integrate with external systems including maintenance, ERP systems, and third-party data repositories. The Scytec DataXchange C# scripting can integrate with external sources and other local shop floor systems to read data or provide edge analytics. DataXchange provides multiple methods of accessing and working with data by utilizing a true Restful API that works after the data has been collected as well as edge computing that works with C# scripting as data is collected.

REAL-TIME INTERACTION

Scytec DataXchange contains a C# compiler and therefore can use the C# programming language as a script to interact with the data immediately as the data is acquired and still within the customer facility. Common use cases include reading text files, accessing databases, parsing complex data received from equipment, using REST interfaces, interacting with data already within Scytec DataXchange, and much more.

POST ANALYSIS

Scytec offers a RESTful web services API to retrieve data once it has been collected from the cloud or on-premise servers immediately after it has been recorded. Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau can be used to visualize the data. Common use cases include creating reports and charts that compare data from DataXchange with planned values from an ERP system.

IN CONCLUSION

With its true RESTful API, Scytec DataXchange is well suited to integrate with external systems including maintenance, ERP systems, and third-party data repositories. Please reach out to sales@scytec.com for more information.
