The Scytec DataXchange application requires the Microsoft .NET Framework to be installed on the PC. We will soon be updating DataXchange to use a new version of the .NET Framework. The version of .NET Framework installed on your PC will need to be 4.7.2 or greater by September 30th.
When DataXchange is first launched the application checks the version of .NET installed on the PC and compares that to the required version. The DataXchange installer will attempt to download and install the needed version of the .NET framework if it’s not installed on the PC. However, the installation of the .NET Framework requires elevated permission, and will therefore fail if the logged in user does not have the appropriate permissions.
If elevated permissions are required please contract your IT department to have the latest version of .NET installed.
