For machine controls and PLC’s that do not offer a compatible Ethernet based protocol, our hardware module can be used. The hardware ties into electrical points on the machine, such as monitoring voltage to the stack lights, or current to the spindle motor. The hardware can also utilize presence sensors, relays, or other similar points to identify whether or not the machine is running, and how it is running.
Contact Scytec if you have any questions about whether or not your machine is supported with an Ethernet protocol or if hardware would be used for machine data collection.
DataXchange Machine Monitoring Data Items
Scytec DataXchange utilizes direct connectivity to acquire data for DataXchange machine monitoring as well as Scytec DXIQ analytics and Vericut CNC Machine Connect. Below, you can find the specific data items that can be collected from specific brand CNC controllers.
Click on the brand of your machine controller, and you will get a downloadable flyer that details all the collected data points.
