What’s Next for IMTS 2020

The long-anticipated International Manufacturing Technology Show, IMTS, has unfortunately been cancelled due to Covid-19. The announcement came last week. The cancellation, while predictable, was still a huge disappointment for us. We will not be able to engage in person with current and future customers, which we always look forward to. The show always brings together the best and brightest in manufacturing technology and leadership; now we will do so digitally.

What’s happening with 2020 IMTS?

IMTS is the largest tradeshow of its kind in the United States, holding events every other year since 1927. The cancellation of the 2020 IMTS was the first time that the show has been cancelled since WWII. The next IMTS will take place September 12 – 17, 2022 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. Scytec will definitely be attending the 2022 IMTS. Never too early to plan ahead.

IMTS will be holding two digital events in the next few months in place of the tradeshow. IMTS Network will have live-streamed stories and interest pieces on the latest in Manufacturing Technology. IMTS Spark, an innovative, new concept from IMTS, will provide an online space for exhibitors and visitors to network and offer educational opportunities. Scytec will be highlighting DataXchange OEE Machine Monitoring on Spark. We welcome all to stop by for a virtual HELLO or to find out more about our solutions and services for Smart Factory Manufacturing.

Though there will not be an in-person event until 2022, IMTS and the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) are making a concerted effort to create similar moments that encourage engagement and networking, connection and education, discussion and action. IMTS is still in the process of figuring out all of the details, get the latest updates here.

In the meantime, Scytec can schedule demos and online meetings to discuss customer environments and the capabilities of DataXchange. We will walk you through our Machine Monitoring system and the current and prospective functionality that can help you increase productivity and decrease waste. There is no time like the present to implement Industry 4.0 tools to boost success.
